Shane MacGowan, the lead singer of The Pogues,dies at age 65.

In late 2022, MacGowan was hospitalized with viral encephalitis and died peacefully surrounded by his family.

McGowan was born in England on Christmas Day 1957 to Irish parents.

McGowan, who received a lifetime achievement award on his 60th birthday

struggled with wheelchair-related health problems in recent years.

He was known to suffer from missing teeth and received dental implants in 2015.

 He describes the procedure as the Everest of dentistry.
